THIS WAS POSTED ON ANOTHER WEBSITE IN RESPONSE TO A LETTER FROM A SENIOR NCO WHO CLAIMED THAT PTSD WAS NOT REAL AND WAS A JOKE
The ‘hilarity’ of PTSD In “Less important whining” (letter, Feb. 13) the writer made a comment about post-traumatic stress disorder being a “joke”.
I would like to address that.
It’s true that PTSD is a joke, PTSD is the hilarious anguish that nearly ruined my Vietnam Veteran father’s life. PTSD is the comedic parade of the faces… Continue

Motorcycle Rodeo... How Redneck is this ???
Event one: The tire pull. This ain’t yo’ momma’s tire pull. This is one serious tire strapped to one reved machine. Two racers compete to see who can make it to the finish first. How's this redneck? Ahh, I forgot to mention a few things. The racer’s significant other (wife, girlfriend, cousin, sister, momma, etc.) has to sit on the thing. While she is riding, she has to grab a potato off of a traffic cone during the race, then… Continue

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVEN'T FIGURED IT OUT I AM A "PATCH-HOLDER" IN THE VETERANS OF VIETNAM MC. THERE ARE PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO SAY WE AREN'T A "REAL" MC THEY CALL US A "MAIL-ORDER" CLUB AND CLAIM WE KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THE BROTHERHOOD OF BIKERS. WELL I AM HERE TO TELL YOU THAT IS B.S. TODAY MY BROTHERS PROVED TO ME WHAT BROTHERHOOD IS. BECAUSE MY BIKE HAD BEEN REPO'D AND I COULD NOT COME UP WITH THE MONEY TO REDEEM IT, I FELT I COULDN'T REMAIN AN MC MEMBER. I E-MAILED THE NATIONAL PRESIDENT OF… Continue

Please vote on this gun issue question with USA Today. It will only take a
few seconds of your time. Then pass the link on to all the pro gun
folks you know. Hopefully these results will be published later this
month. This upcoming year will become critical for gun owners with the
Supreme Court accepting the District of Columbia case against the right
for individuals to bear arms.
First - vote on this one.
Second - launch it to other folks… Continue

Far too often we may say that we will pray for someone, but then when we want or begin to pray, we just can't seem to find the right words... To God, it is not a matter of the words we use as much as it is what is in our hearts... Let us hold out veterans, troops and their families in our hearts and "Never Forget"...
Psalm 91:11-12 For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your… Continue

Barb and I just moved to Texas in November from the cold state of Illinois.
We like to, (other than riding) go camping, the camper pulls behind the Harley, and fishing.
We love to go on poker runs and you can often find us hanging at the Lone Oak Bar on 1441.
we will make the ROT RALLY in Austin this June, and we are going to try and make the Smithville
run as well

For the first time EVER, I'll be heading down to the Daytona Bike Week this year. ANOTHER first will be the fact (and one that I'm semi-ashamed to admit), I'll be trailering a bike for the sole purpose of the event itself (the one time I trailered a bike with me on family vacation doesn't count).
While all you other Harley Sheep will be wearing your HD T-Shirts and assless leather chaps (no offense Harley dudes and dudettes, I'm just kidding), I'll be sporting my Triumph T-Shirts and… Continue

STORY NUMBER ONE
Many years ago, Al Capone virtually owned Chicago. Capone wasn't famous for anything heroic. He was notorious for enmeshing the windy city in everything from bootlegged booze and prostitution to murder.
Capone had a lawyer nicknamed 'Easy Eddie.' He was his lawyer for a good reason. Eddie was very good! In fact, Eddie's skill at legal maneuvering kept Big Al out of jail for a long time.
To show his appreciation, Capone paid him very… Continue
