A lesson on how consultants can make a difference in an organization.
Last week, we took some friends to a new restaurant, 'Steve's Place,' and noticed that the waiter who took our order carried a spoon in his shirt pocket.
It seemed a little strange. When the busboy brought our water and utensils, I observed that he also had a spoon in his shirt pocket.
Then I looked around and saw that all the staff had spoons in their pockets. When the waiter came back to… Continue

Three strangers strike up a conversation in the passenger lounge in Bozeman, Montana, while waiting for their respective flights...
One is an American Indian passing through from Lame Deer, another is a Cowboy on his way to Billings for a livestock show and the third passenger is a fundamentalist Arab student, newly arrived at Montana State University from the Middle East.
Their discussion drifts to their diverse cultures. Soon, the two Westerners learn that the Arab is a… Continue

Wheew! Summer finally arrived today in central Illinois! Riding the bike today with the summer heat blowing in my face made me remember about one of my favorite summer poems that I wrote some years back. The poem is masterfully crafted with elegant language that helps you to wonder off mentally reliving some of the best summertime moments I have had in summer's past. I hope you enjoy this artsy taste of summer as much as I have over the years. Ride Safe Friends!

Barack Obama was out jogging along the parkway one morning when he tripped, fell over the bridge railing, and landed in the creek below.
Before the Secret Service guys could get to him, three kids who were fishing pulled him out of the water. He was so grateful he offered the kids whatever they wanted.
The first kid said, "I want to go to Disneyland ." "No problem," Barack said, "I'll take you there on my special airplane."
The second kid said, "I want a new… Continue

The inventor of the Harley-Davidson motorcycle, Arthur Davidson, died and went to heaven.
At the gates, St. Peter told Arthur.. 'Since you've been such a good man and your motorcycles have changed the world, your reward is, you can hang out with anyone you want to in heaven.'
Arthur thought about it for a minute and then said, ' I want to hang out with God.'
St. Peter took Arthur to the Throne Room, and introduced him to God.
God recognized Arthur and… Continue

This is so true.......sad but true.
This is written by a young soldier serving his third tour of duty in Iraq . Thought you might find his take on the Michael Jackson news interesting and he's right.
Okay, I need to rant..
I was just watching the news, and I caught part of a report on Michael Jackson. As we all know, Jackson died the other day. He was an entertainer who performed for decades. He made millions, he spent millions, and he did a lot of things… Continue

GOT THIS FROM A BROTHER THOUGHT YOU ALL MIGHT FIND IT INTERESTING
Viet Nam Vets This will take your mind off of the little skirmish in Iraq; for a little while anyway.
I found this article very interesting. The most notable fact is that 2.7 million Americans actually served in the Vietnam Theater of war.
In the last census nearly 14 million Americans claimed they served in Vietnam.
Four out of five are lying. I wonder… Continue
