I am BOYCOTTING Northwest H-D from now on
I aint spending another dime at NW Harley Davidson in Lacey!!
The only times I have ever NOT had a problem buying something from them was when I bought a T shirt from them, and a pin for my granddaughter.
When I bought my Sporty back in September of '05, they tried to charge me the same price as an '06. Even after I called the dealership in Tacoma and found an identical bike for $1,000 less, the salesman didnt budge on the price, so I told the guy in Tacoma to hold the bike I was coming up to buy it. The NW salesman acted like he could care less.
I was there another time with some friends, and remembered I needed some brake fluid. Luckily I checked what the guy had handed me; it was DOT 4 brake fluid not DOT 5, and when I went back in they tried arguing that they didnt give me the wrong stuff.
Last Thursday, April 30, I called around trying to find some parts for my 91 Softail. I didnt expect to find the sideplates, being a 91, but the sissy bar and pad I figured shouldnt be that hard to find. I needed them asap, so I could have them in my hands and on the bike before I ride to Penrose Point for a campout with some friends. I was running out of time, and none of the shops I had called had any of the parts I wanted. The last one I called was NW. When the parts guy confirmed that Harley had the parts available to be shipped, he told me for an extra $50 bucks I could have them shipped to my front door by Monday. I figured more like Tuesday, but that still left me a few days to play with.
Today is Wednesday. I still didnt have the parts when I called NW, and talked to the same parts guy. He said the parts had just gotten to them (so much for being shipped to my door), but he could ship it down to my place by tomorrow sometime. He even read my address to me, so I didnt have to give it to him again. No apologies for the screw-up, and no mention of the $50 extra I put on my bank card to get it to me 2 DAYS AGO!
It just goes to show I can't trust NW Harley Davidson, and I'm not spending another penny in their shop.

Sounds a lot like Walters Brothers (Wallet Bros) H-D here in the Peoria, IL area. Did they make you feel like you needed to kneel before them when you bought the shirt and the pin ?
Some of these fuckin' dealerships need to remember where their money is coming from ! The service Dept. at 'Wallet Bros' insists that you're lying about the performance you're getting with your bike and charges you a minimum $65 or more an hour just to listen to you complain about how they won't honor the warranty. A guy is really fucked anymore since H-D came out with all this electronic bullshit on the bikes. There ain't a damn thing we (as rider/owners) can do about it either.
